Short Form Competency Exam
This is a reduced duration exam taking approximately 30 minutes that is suitable for interview screening and for practice before sitting the ASD exam. It does not lead to accreditation, but indicates readiness to sit the ASD exam. If you want to sit the ASD exam to become accredited, please use the registration on this page.
The exam takes exactly the same form as the ASD Exam and is based on the same curriculum. Results are available online immediately upon completion, and take the form of the screenshot as diplayed on the right.
After the candidate details are supplied, an email is sent to the email address given at registration. This email contains a one-time url and password that are valid for seven days, created specifically for the exclusive use of the candidate. This is useful if an interviewer wishes to set up several tests for a candidate in advance, or if the candidate wishes to conduct some revision before sitting the exam.
If the short form exam is being used to practice for the ASD exam, the candidate can sit the exam at home or in the office without supervision. Where the short form exam is used for interview screening, the interviewer may wish to supply the log-in details to the candidate via email prior to a face to face meeting, or may prefer to have the candidate sit the exam under supervision.
