Assessing the technical competency of interview candidates is an expensive use of rare Symbian OS skills in any company. Using the same assessment system as is used for the ASD exam, candidate screening can be conducted much more rapidly and cheaply.
The system can be used to repeat the conditions for the accreditation exam under the supervision of the recruiting manager; or it can be run in a scaled-down mode resulting in a quick check of the candidate’s skills lasting about 30 minutes.
Results of the assessment are available at the end of the test in a simple to read summary sheet. If the longer form of the assessment is used, it can provide pointers to areas for further investigation during a more detailed interview or for determining the candidate’s suitability for a specific role.
This leaves recruiters to concentrate on the softer skills interviewing of the candidate without the need for heavy reliance on technical experts.
