Home of the Accredited Symbian Developer
After more than a decade in the European space industry, designing systems for training, assessing and qualifying ground and space segment control personnel, Weston moved to Psion Software at the start of 1998 to bring structured project management and engineering techniques to that innovative company. Shortly after his arrival, Psion Software contributed its intellectual property to create Symbian.
After four years in software engineering roles (eventually as VP Development Operations, Symbian) he moved to the marketing team where his role was to develop the ecosystem around Symbian OS. This comprised building the Symbian Partner community and managing the Symbian Developer Network and Symbian Press teams as VP Partnering.
Weston left Symbian in February 2005 to concentrate on building developer competency assessments and supplying technical and business advice to companies active in the Symbian developer ecosystem.
