All Symbian OS phones support Java and in particular J2ME (CLDC/MIDP) making them an ideal and widely addressable development and application platform. The features supported by Symbian phones differ from other platforms, and the Symbian OS: J2ME (CLDC/MIDP) exam tests the ability of a developer to address the differences between Symbian and other Java platforms.
Besides the standard sources there is one key reference book that deals with Symbian OS specifically, and the topics covered by these have informed the creation of the curriculum and database of test questions. These are “Programming Java 2 Micro Edition on Symbian OS” by Martin de Jode, published by Symbian Press.
Take the Symbian OS: J2ME Exam
This test assesses J2ME programming skills specifically on the Symbian OS platform. It contributes credits towards Accredited Symbian Developer Pro status. The test will contain a minimum of 33 questions and will require a typical time of 40 minutes.
The result of this exam will be displayed on screen at the end of your session and will also be sent immediately to your registered email address.
