The test establishes whether the candidate has sufficient knowledge of Symbian OS to contribute quickly to a project. The required scope of knowledge and competency level are defined by Symbian and represent the curriculum of the entry-level Symbian OS courses: OS Essentials & Application Engines. Successful candidates may be formally recognised by Symbian as Accredited Symbian Developers.
This exam should take approximately an hour, although that will vary based upon the number of questions presented, the difficulty of the questions and how quickly the candidate responds to them. Results of the test are supplied by email, usually within 48 hours; successful candidates receive a certificate and are entitled to add the letters "ASD" after their name.
