ASD EXAM
Symbian's Accredited Symbian Developer scheme was launched by Majinate at the Smartphone Show on 10th October 2005.The Accredited Symbian Developer scheme is designed to set and objectively measure the standard of engineering competency required for developers and engineers to differentiate themselves from novice Symbian OS developers.
The scheme defines the set of knowledge required to understand and use Symbian OS – the ASD curriculum. It provides a framework for continuing professional development keeping pace with the evolution of Symbian OS and stimulates the provision of accredited educational material to address this curriculum. The scheme also provides tools to objectively test competency & understanding within the curriculum and therefore to differentiate developers who have shown sufficient competency through examination.
Unsupervised Exam - web based

The ASD accreditation exam is delivered online over the web. You can register to take the exam under your own supervision here. The exam takes approximately 75 minutes and registration details are valid for 7 days. Results are displayed on-screen on completion of the exam and also confirmed by email.
The practice exam is a shorter version of the accreditation exam deriving the questions from an equivalent database. The practice exam can be used for interview screening or as a rehearsal for the full accreditation exam: note that this does not lead to accreditation.
Supervised Exam - classroom based
Majinate's partners worldwide provide supervised exams and scheduled study courses. You can find out about current supervised schedules here.
